Our seawater salmon farms are located in Orkney and Shetland, the most Northernly part of the United Kingdom. The strong tidal waters surrounding the Islands make them the perfect place to rear the world’s finest salmon.

OUR LOCATIONS

Mainland

The heart of our operations is also on the British Mainland. Our freshwater sites are geographically spread in Argyll, Cumbria, Clackmannanshire and Sutherland. Tucked into the natural beauty of the countryside, all sites operate with state-of-the-art technology for the perfect integration in their environment. Glasgow is our hub for logistics and sales, from the reception of the fish to distribution to markets around the world. The vertical integration of all these operations guarantee our customers the full traceability of all our fish.

Remote, Rugged, Special…
Our farms are situated in the West and North of the Shetlands isles. The strong tidal currents of Yell and Unst create the perfect conditions for our fish to be firm and muscular. The environmental conditions also makes it an ideal location for freshwater operations. Deeply rooted in a land of great seafood, Cooke Aquaculture is proud to support the promotion food and drink initiative, Taste of Shetland.

The pristine environment across the 70 islands makes Orkney famous for the quality of its food and drink. Alongside beef, crab and lobster, Orkney is the ideal place to grow premium salmon. Spread around 3 main areas in the archipelago our farms are hosting our niche sustainable salmon as well as some of our Label Rouge production. Our organic salmon benefits from the strong tidal flows and the remoteness of the isle of Westray and Hoy.
